HB 441 Tax Modernization Bill

This bill is the most radical change to our tax system in Utah’s history! It has been rushed through the legislative process in 2 weeks, without any citizen or small business input outside of 1 committee hearing. Check out the link to hear it:

It puts a huge burden on small service - industry businesses of all kinds; from home based hairdressers, to vending companies, lawn care, plumbers, CPAs, attorneys, massage therapists, physical therapists, private teachers, dental workers, yard workers, cleaners, consultants, computer repair, auto repair, tutors, attorneys, construction labor, piano teachers, financial advisers, nanny/daycare, insurance salesmen, and many others!

It hurts low income & middle income families with a stealth tax that we will pay every time we use a service. 

Please text and/or email your Representatives ASAP and ask them to please vote to put this bill into Interim so it can go through the proper process rather than circumvent the citizens.

Call Governor Herbert at 801-538-1000 and tell him how disappointed you are that this bill has been rushed through with less than 1 hour of public comment on a bill that will dramatically affect small businesses and impact Utah families indefinitely. 
Please share this with everyone you can and invite them to go to the Capitol today, 1:30pm until 4:00 (or as long as possible). Please meet at the Senate (East) building in the south end of the cafeteria.
